THE BACKSTORY
In 2010 a Black American fashion designer, Staci Sherri, had a chance encounter with Kwasi Agyei while hailing a yellow taxi cab in New York City. This connection led to many collaborations on various projects over the years. As Kwasi shared about his Ghanian roots, Staci was inspired to trace her own.
That journey led her to so many personal and professional realizations that expanded her worldview. Staci was so impacted by her travels in and throughout Africa, that she wanted to design custom experiences for other people who were in need of a more indigenous and meaningful connection to Africa. This led to the creation of the Tribal Travel Club.
Our founder, Staci Sherri had an inner yearning to understand her roots. On her path, she met her tribe, found her sense of belonging and now wants to offer that experience to others who are looking. Tribal Travel Club exists to bridge communities through curated travel experiences to various countries in Africa.
